John Saunders Reece has lived in Coral Gables, Florida, Cincinnati, Ohio, Seattle, Washington and
now Portland, Oregon. His work reflects his unique point of view and his perspective on light. He has been drawing
since he was seven. His artistic family encouraged his artistic development.
John's undergraduate degree is in design. During his first career he was a design manager in a Fortune 500 company.
After retirement, he earned his Master's Degree in Art History and returned to his first passion, painting.
In Cincinnati, he was a member of the Cincinnati Art Club, a family tradition. He has had his work exhibited in
the Cincinnati Art Museum Bicentennial show (juried) and at the Cincinnati Natural History Museum (juried).
Currently he is an officer of the Oregon Society of Artists and shows there regularly. He is a member of the Oregon
Watercolor Society.
